What is so cool about visiting the Ressmeyer family home is that amongst all the toy guns, stuffed unicorns and high power rocketry collection Roger and his son share, you get to view, in person, a selection of gorgeous, prestigious prints Roger captured while he was on assignment for National Geographic Magazine, NASA, Getty Images and Corbis stock photography. (Two of my favorite images to this day are Ansel Adams by the ocean in 1981 and Madonna's first concert in Seattle on The Virgin Tour in 1985!)
Cory and I had a great time capturing the kids in their environment goofing around. "Give me Dirty Harry" and Roger's son picked up a Nerf toy gun and gave me his best look for the shot - totally my new hero!
Here are a few of our favorite images from their LIFESTYLE PORTRAITURE session:

Roger Ressmeyer taught me that we (photographers) have the opportunity & privilege to get to know amazing people through our lens.
As subject and photographer we learn and grow from each encounter and are blessed to share life experiences.
It is one of my most cherished gifts & I hope to have the opportunity to share & pass it on to you.

I can't tell you how much of an honor it was to be photographed by LaRae and Cory. I've been around the block a few times with photography, and they are among the very best there is for family photography. My entire family is thrilled with the results. Hurray you two! Now Cory...need the URL for those super-cool camera straps...I need those!
Fondly,
